Why Vote for Health?
Voting and health are connected, and IPHA wants to make it easier for you to participate! As a voter, you can directly influence the policies and decisions that shape the health of our Hoosier communities and beyond.
-
In the words of Healthy Democracy Healthy People, “When we’re healthier, we’re more likely to vote. And communities that vote experience better health.”
-

-
According to County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, “Voting is a form of civic participation that symbolizes a commitment to democratic processes. Voting can influence policies that create opportunities for health, including safe spaces to live and work or funding for public health initiatives. Voter participation is tied to better self-reported health.”
