2023 Indiana Public Health Celebration & Awards

The Indiana Public Health Association (IPHA) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2023 Indiana Public Health Celebration & Awards, “Elevating the Momentum”. The Indiana Public Health Celebration & Awards is an opportunity to recognize our colleagues and partners who are making significant contributions to the field of public health. This year, award nominations will be considered in seven categories: Learn more about award categories and submit nominations here. The deadline for award nominations is Friday, September 28th. Award recipients will receive complimentary registration for the 2023 Indiana Public Health Celebration & Awards, as well as a free one-year membership with IPHA! Award recipients will be expected to attend the 2023 Indiana Public Health Celebration & Awards on Thursday, November 30th at 11 AM – 1 PM ET in Central Indiana. IPHA Conference Call for Abstracts Open

We’re building momentum for Indiana’s public health – and we hope you’ll join us by submitting an abstract for our 2023 IPHA Conference! The Indiana Public Health Association is now accepting virtual presentation abstracts for its 2023 Annual Meeting & Conference, “MOMENTUM”. The event is on Tuesday, April 18th at 10 AM – 3:30 PM ET.   Abstracts may be submitted by undergraduate and graduate students, academic faculty and staff, and public health practitioners. Abstracts are welcome on a range of topics (listed below), though authors are encouraged to submit abstracts that align with the event purpose to maintain and build upon the momentum of Indiana’s public health progress and foster continued support, partnerships, and excitement around creating a healthier Indiana. IPHA’s First Student Session!

IPHA Members are familiar with our Monthly Virtual Lunch Meet-Ups, one of our networking opportunities that connects public health professionals from around the state for an hour each month. While you may be disappointed to learn our traditional Monthly Meet-Up is cancelled for March 2023, that announcement comes with more exciting news – the meet-up will be replaced by IPHA’s first student session! The March Meet-Up will be a professional development session, open to all students, with presenter Kristine Schuster, MPA, the Director of Career and Professional Development for IU Fairbanks School of Public Health. We’ll be back to our regular schedule in April, with more student-supporting events sprinkled throughout the rest of the year. Apply for the Student Advisory Group!

Applications are open to join the IPHA Student Advisory Group (SAG) 2023-2024 cohort!   The SAG serves as a key liaison between IPHA leadership and Indiana student stakeholders. This group serves as a voice for student needs and guides IPHA’s efforts to provide students with meaningful engagement opportunities.
